Submachinegun Operator

This course will teach the individual to handle their firearm safer, faster, and to shoot far more accurate than they are now able. Speed and accuracy will be stressed throughout the course, but not at the expense of being tactically sound.

Subjects covered: Firearms safety as it pertains to self-defense. Weapons selection, conditions of carry, carry techniques, mounting of the submachinegun from the ready and carry/slung positions. The basics of stance, grip, sight alignment, and trigger press. Speed and Tactical reloading, malfunction drills, semiautomatic fire, automatic fire, rapid engagement of single and multiple opponents. Proper utilization of cover and concealment will be stressed throughout the course, as will movement techniques. Also covered will be submachine-gun ballistics and "stopping power", submachinegun types and modifications, carry systems and accessories. A portion of this course will be dedicated to "speed shooting" on steel to enhance the shooters skills with immediate feedback.

Required Equipment:

Submachinegun with sling (low powered optics acceptable), Integral flashlight and handheld preferred, 1000 rounds of ammunition, 3 magazines, Knee and elbow pads, Hearing and eye protection, Handgun w/ holster & extra magazines, 100 rounds handgun ammunition, Full gear (i.e. armor, helmet & gas mask)
